Currie Hall

Future students

Imagine living in a place where you have a fully furnished bedroom and a huge range of amenities available to you as soon as you step outside.

In your room are an internet connection and a telephone; outside it you will find a full-size tennis court with lights, a well-equipped games room including pool tables and table tennis tables, a library, a computer room, Foxtel television, a dining hall, a recreation room and organised activities all year around!

Throw in three meals each day, 24-hour security, and weekly professional room and bed linen cleaning, and you’ll have to agree that Currie Hall provides the perfect lifestyle for any student!

University life is not limited to simply working towards your degree. There's so much more to do, especially if you stay at UWA's Currie Hall while you're studying.

Currie Hall dates back to 1946, after the buildings were established during World War II as a Bachelor Officers' Quarters by the American Navy.

We offer a range of academic, personal and community programs that provide residents the opportunity to learn new skills outside their university studies.

As well as the sporting activities that occur within Currie Hall, the four Colleges and one Hall at UWA organise a range of sporting competitions that are held throughout the year. Competition sports include soccer, basketball, cricket, netball and tennis, among others.

In addition, the University Sport and Recreation Centre organises and hosts many sports programs and clubs.

Activities at the Sports Centre include weight training, aerobics, pump classes, martial arts, racquet games, outdoor education activities and a wide selection of indoor and outdoor sporting teams to join.
