Security
A professional security guard is on duty each night at Currie Hall from 11.00pm to 5.00am, patrolling the grounds and supervising noise levels. They are contactable on extension 9510 from the phone in each resident's room.
Security also greet any late night/early morning arrivals and show them to their rooms. Our security service supplements UWA Security personnel, who are on duty 24 hours a day. They are contactable in an emergency on (+61 8) 6488 2222 or 2222 from Currie Hall phones.
Fire system and fire regulations
A state-of-the-art fire warning system has been installed in each room at Currie Hall. The smoke detectors will be set off by extreme amounts of heat or the slightest amount of smoke. Please note that all open flames are banned and all rooms are non-smoking.
Although fire drills are held during the year, residents and guests are asked to treat all alarms as serious and to exit the building, regardless of the time of day.
All residents and guests need to carefully read the evacuation instructions located in each room on arrival.
