Fees and admission


The 2009 Academic Year

First semester

  • Sunday 15 February for first-year students
  • Sunday 22 February for returning residents
  • Ends Sunday 21 June (18 weeks for first-year residents and 17 weeks for returning residents)

Second semester

  • Sunday 20 July to Sunday 16 November, (17 weeks)

Students who require their rooms outside of these Semester dates and during the mid-year break will be invoiced the normal weekly residential rate.

Note: Taylor's College (Foundation Program) students have different payment periods.

Three meals per day, seven days a week
Bed linen, doona and towels supplied and laundered weekly

Payment plan

There are only two payment periods for 2009: at the beginning of each semester for two 17-week periods.

  • Any request for alterations to the two-payment plan for 2009 must be in writing to the Principal or Business Manager.
  • On or before taking up residence, payment must be made for the annual Residents' Club fee, key deposit and for any pre-semester fees.

Payment methods

You can pay by cash, cheque, bank draft, Visa, Master Card or Bankcard.

You can pay your fees directly into Currie Hall's account, but remember to give us your name, payment date, and amount paid whenever you do this so we can record your payment.

Admission and rules

Currie Hall respects the rights and privacy of residential students.

A student's room is regarded as his or her private space, yet the student has a responsibility to other hall residents to maintain a clean and safe living environment that does not infringe on the rights and privileges of other residents.
