Currie Hall

Academic Tutorial Program

Currie Hall’s vibrant academic program provides a valuable layer of information and inspiration that is otherwise unavailable to non-residential students.

Whether you'd like to participate in the odd academic tutorial or just need some individual assistance with your general study skills, our program will help you.

In addition, we host distinguished guest speakers from all over the world to speak at our academic dinners and mix informally with you.

First-year tutorial program

Compulsory weekly tutorials are conducted for the larger first-year units. Class attendance is monitored and followed up through the Student Services Office.

Individual tutoring can be arranged for first-year students who do not have classes in the larger units.

Individual assistance

Any student can ask for assistance in a subject in which tutorials are not already available.

Students who are identified following exam results meet with the Student Services Manager on a fortnightly basis. Peer mentoring is also available.

Academic dinners

Each semester we hold a dinner for all first-year students and invite special guests from UWA faculties to attend.
