Programs available
Currie Hall's Student Leadership Program creates formal leadership development pathways and feeds into a mentoring program that supports our new residents during their transition into the community.
Through the program, we aim to create a common understanding of what values-based leadership is and to ground that understanding in a college-wide commitment to community service and engagement.
You will explore the following topics:
- Mentoring
- Group dynamics
- Models and styles of leadership
- Effective communication
- Teamwork and team building
- Conflict resolution and time management
Student leaders take part in a weekend retreat away from Currie Hall where they actively practise these skills.
In the final part of the program, you will develop leadership projects that improve a particular aspect of the Hall.
